What is Youth Town Hall?

The mission of Youth Town Hall is to inspire high school students from throughout the Coachella Valley by introducing them to world leaders and provocative thinkers. The program encourages students to dream beyond their reality by interacting with recognized leaders and hearing their personal stories.

We invite 150 students to each of our four events.

This enrichment program is presented each year at no cost to students, thanks to the generosity of sponsors and patrons.

How do I participate in Youth Town Hall?

Invitations are sent to the principal of each school. Students are chosen at the principal's discretion. We look forward to having as many students as possible participate and like to see different students attend each event.

In addition to the participation of students in the Youth Town Hall, students can apply to be a Youth Ambassador. This position holds a leadership role among the 150 students in attendance at each of the four events. Ambassadors welcome program attendees, share speaker and event information, and engage in conversation with students through discussion, debate and action. An application is available under the Youth Town Hall tab on the Desert Town Hall website.

What should students participating in Youth Town Hall expect?

Check-in begins at 4 pm and students receive complimentary beverages and a light meal. The Youth Program begins at 4:30 pm in the Valencia Ballroom. Signs and student volunteers will direct you.
